Hi, I’m Shohn, it’s nice to meet you!
My interest in photography began way back in 2009. I was promoted to a project manager position installing custom designed proprietary software, and through my job I was lucky enough to travel all over the US. I soon found that I was spending my free time taking pictures of whatever I could and documenting all the unique places my adventures took me. Photography quickly became my favourite hobby. I never worried about how bad my pictures came out (they were always bad), and I kept my camera in full auto as I had no clue how to manually program my settings. What mattered was that I was having fun and, more importantly, I was learning.
Time went on and I continued to work on my craft. As my understanding of photography grew I found myself curious to explore the world of videography, and gradually shifted my focus to include both mediums. Technology had advanced quite a bit since I had begun as a hobbyist, so I upgraded my equipment (hello autofocus!) and was ready to dive headfirst into video. Looking back, I’m glad I had the opportunity to learn without all the technological aids available now. I think it gave me a greater appreciation for the amount of skill needed to communicate a thought, feeling, or a moment in time through images.
Together photography and videography offer unlimited creativity, and that’s what I love most about my craft. The sky is the limit and the only thing holding you back is your imagination. I’m passionate about bringing my clients’ ideas and concepts to life and I pride myself in consistently delivering premium quality results. If you can think it, I can create it.
